Shivoham, Shivoham

“ In a sense, the concept of Self-realisation is a delusion.It is only because people have been under the delusion that the non-Self is the Self and the unreal is the Real,that they have to be weaned out of it by the other delusion called Self-realisation. In truth, the Self is always the Self and there is no such thing as realising it. Who is to realise what and how, when all that exists is the Self and nothing but the Self?” Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharishi.

Can words describe the Self?
Can the wind be set on fire?
Can all the sciences and philosophies capture true understanding of the Real?
Can an arrow shot into the sky pin down endless Space?

The invisible is the source and substance of the visible.
The mysterious void is absolute fullness and perfection.
Smaller than the smallest, yet, greater than the greatest,
The Lord of all creation hides everywhere, in plain sight!

The true teaching is the blessing of your divine Silence.
Your Light shining so radiant in my Heart is the key.
When I let go in total surrender, your Grace stills the tempest of my mind
So that I fall like a raindrop into your infinite ocean of peace.

“The state in which the unbroken experience of existence-consciousness is attained by the still mind alone is Samadhi.” Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi

“I found myself in direct contact with one who had passed beyond the boundaries of the senses and merged permanently with the Absolute Self. I do not need any proof of the divinity of Sri Ramana Maharishi, just as I do not need any proof of the existence of the sun.” Grant Duff, British novelist and poet.

From Every Living Eye

“Those whose eyes are open do not need to go to a church and look at a picture or statue of the Lord. In the eyes of every infant, in the smile of every human being, they receive the blessing of Christ .If the eyes and ears are open, the leaves of the trees become as pages of the Bible. If the heart is alive, the whole of life becomes one single vision of His sublime beauty, speaking to us at every moment.” Hazrat Inayat Khan

In earth and air, water and fire, there is only One;
In you and I, in bird and beast and tree.
Transcendent love is the mother of all creation-
The nameless, formless father is the ultimate mystery!

In search of that source, I dived deep into being:
So still, so silent, that innermost Heart in me.
This is where I disappeared without a trace!
Here, in boundless bliss, nothing exists but Thee.

Dreams vanish like mist in the dawn of awakening;
Rooted deep in peace, at last I am free!
Everywhere, in everything, a divine Light shines;
From every living eye, God gazes back at me.

God Within

“Only the truth of Self is worthy of being scrutinized and known. Taking It alone as the target, one should keenly attend to It and know It in the heart. It can be known only by the silent and clear mind which is free from agitation and activity.” Guru Vachaka Kovai, Teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi

In the depths of being, something mysterious emerges.
Stillness and silence reveal a divine presence.
Immovable as a mountain, this ineffable peace is a treasure beyond compare.

Shining with the light of infinite love, beyond space and time,
this is the beginning and the end, the source and the goal, the many and the one.

Some call it God or the Self or Tao or Brahman.

Beyond all names and forms, this serene, immortal consciousness is the source of all joy.
Deep in the Heart, poised in pristine perfection, it is unattached, unshakable,
untouched by the world and all its storms.

This alone is the real, the true, the everlasting, the sacred.
This is my anchor, my strength and my refuge.
This is who I really am – now and forever.
