Real and Unreal

“Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.” – Mundaka Upanishad

“Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.” Ecclesiastes, the Holy Bible.

Don’t tell me your tales of triumph and glory – did you forget that everything ends?

This world is a story spun from illusion, a “tale told by a madman, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Beyond word and thought, beyond knowing and not-knowing, there is a bottomless abyss.

Once you fall into that void, you disappear.

What remains is that which always is, the eternal truth, untouched, unchanging.

Drop the veil of ignorance and see clearly:

Beginnings and endings belong only to the unreal.

The real is immortal,immaculate,blissful perfection.

The real is divine love, the infinite, all-powerful intelligent energy pervading everything.

Nothing else really exists.

“The solution for misery experienced in a dream is to wake up – not to examine or attempt to analyse that which is seen in the dream!” Bhagawan Ramana Maharishi.
