Stop the world-I want to get off!

( slogan from the seventies.)

“ Abide in perfect stillness, with no movement of tongue or mind or body. Behold the effulgence of the Self within – the complete absence of fear, the vast ocean of bliss. Ha, so simple is Atma Vidya!” Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi, Atma Vidya Keertanam.

Can you stop your world? Can you be thoughtless, still?
Beauty or beast, angel or demon, the mundane or the sacred – to be human is to make a choice.
Can you choose your highest truth?
Can you escape the cage of the space-time illusion, the compelling hypnosis of body and matter; can you stand poised in the timeless, formless awareness that is the true Life of life?

In the centre of the heart-cave, eternity shines bright, love dances in never-ending delight: this is your true being, the immortal, infinite, blissful Self.
Stillness and silence will keep you anchored in these calm depths, no matter what storms may seem to be raging in the realm of form.

Listen, my friend!
This Light shining in the core of being is the only God there is.
While you still breathe, be this.

All suffering ceases – peace reigns supreme.
Here there is only perfect love and bliss.
The ultimate flowering of human consciousness
is to be the Divine that always is.

“The art of a warrior is to balance the terror of being human with the wonder of being human.” Carlos Castaneda, Journey to Ixtlan
